The content of a ReportGrid can be exported to an Excel spreadsheet. Exporting via Ole automation would be quite slow, especially attempting to import format also, so we have decided to implement a raw exportation to XML format. This is extremely fast because consists just of a direct writing to disk of the ReportGrid content. The xml file generated is understood by Excel (Office 2003 or higher).



We have also decided not to try to export cell formats because, anyway, the limited palette that Excel uses could not represent our styles and you may want to optimize with respect to Excel palette..



After exportation, it should be easy for you to reformat the ReportGrid picking the desired colors from the Excel palette.
